As the Engineering Head for Mobile Identity at Google, Megha drives the development of the Phone Number Verification (PNV) platform and Phone Identity Graph. By integrating AI and Open Gateway APIs, and building RCS infrastructure, her team secures user identity and trust across Google’s most vital ecosystems, including Messages, Meet, YouTube, and Firebase for third-party apps.
Throughout her 18-year career at Google, Megha has built deep expertise in massive-scale systems architecture, engineering globally distributed technologies for Search, Google Assistant, and a multi-billion-dollar Advertising platform. Today, her work focuses on the intersection of identity and artificial intelligence—specifically, building machine learning models that optimize verification costs and speed, while actively developing solutions to detect fraud and ensure safe AI agent interactions on devices.
